Final Thoughts

I believe that I have created a good group of products and they work well together. Not challenging any conventions has allowed me to create realistic-looking outcomes, and my audience feedback has been very helpful in allowing me to do so. The combination of my main product and the ancillary texts work well because they all have a sense of cohesion as the Harrogate Star logo is included in all the products. Although this project has been a lot of hard work, I have enjoyed creating a new ultra-local newspaper, website and poster.

My newspaper website

I have completed my Harrogate Star website:

http://jodieparkina2.moonfruit.com/

I have not challenged any conventions as I want my website to be clear and recognizable as an ultra local website. For example the masthead is in the top corner and I have included scrolling text hyperlinks. I have aimed the site at my target audience of middle aged middle class people so I have made the site look informative but not too boring.

Audience Feedback: Looks very similar to the Harrogate Advertiser website, the scrolling text looks good, good adverts, lots of pictures of people for news values.
